A large hardwood of the coastal ranges between Newcastle in New South Wales to the Maryborough district in Queensland. Tallowwood is an exceptionally durable hardwood species with a colour of yellowish brown, with a tinge of olive green.

Physical Properties:

Janka rating 8.6

The hardness of a species is determined by the Janka Rating, this measures the resistance to indentation and abrasion. As a guide the higher the rating number the more resistant the timber is to indentation and abrasion.

These properties are only a guide, as timber is a natural product there will be variations within any species.

Sizes Available:

80mm wide x 19mm thick.
130mm wide x 19mm thick.

Length Specification:

These packs contain lengths from 0.9m to a maximum of 6.0m. Not every pack will contain 6.0m lengths and whilst the average length will vary, it will usually be between 2.1m and 3.0m.
